Mohamed Sathak Engineering College, Kilakkarai started in the year 1984 notably the first self-financing engineering institute in Tamil Nadu. The objective of the institute founded by great visionary members of the management is to serve the downtrodden. Uplift the social and economic life of the people in and around this district. This institution has various departments under different faculties of engineering. All the departments are equipped with required infrastructure and other state of art facilities for achieving the goals relevant to academic and industry collaborative research. The institution always has focused and encouraged the fundamental research activities both in department and institution level.

The Office of Dean Research invariantly supports the research efforts of all our faculty members, research students at various levels. The atmosphereinside our campus is conceptualized in way of mentoring on research for the new faculty, facilitating and nurturing industrial collaboration and research programming, and identifying and propagating research opportunities and collaborations useful to the academic community, research community and the society.

The office of Dean Research strongly believes that it is important to in inculcate the habit of ”EXPLORING THE UNEXPLORED PATH” as said by our people’s president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam to the young dynamic minds who are the future of our country. Bringing research excellence at MSECis by encouraging faculty and graduate students to pursue joint endeavours in research and development. Our faculty members' excellence in research is proved by the eminent articles published and conference presentations made, and the education of highly qualified persons.
